Into the Wild

It's been a while, but the month has gone by splendidly.
Finished with labs for the year, so this next term starts academics: adv composition and communication, marine biology, quantative analysis, and food and beverage cost control. I'm actually looking forward to these classes because it will be nice to have concrete information and be graded on that, not just that your puff pastry didn't turn out or the chocolate didn't temper.
Had a lovely spring break. What was a 4 hour delay at DTW turned into 6, and then we sat on the runway for 1/2 an hour as the plane got de-iced. Finally arrived in Alpena little after 7p. It was good to spend the weekend at camp. Had my interview for ES cooks assisstant, and that went quite well so hopefully that news should be coming in the next few weeks.Slept probably an average of 10 hours during the week and had busy but successful days. It is nice to be back in Denver though.
Checked facebook this morning waiting for my flight, and the goal is to not check it at all, or extremely minimally this term. So far, nothing :) Pat on the back.
I also wanna use any time that would be used to be on facebook as time to study, get back to reading the Bible, and just make better use of my time overall. Sort of an idea from something I saw on pinterest a few weeks ago: "If the withdrawal is so difficult, the end result will be worth it."
Also, gonna try to not drink pop and juices; sticking to water, tea, coffee/caffeine drinks, and milk. After watching a documentary on corn, yes the yellow stuff, I'm also trying to stray away from food/drink with corn syrup, or any corn product for that matter. It's been a bit difficult, but have found that a fair number of store brands items do not have corn in them, cheap and healthy :D boo yah!
That's life and have a lovely day
